Objective of job •China as our most important and greatest market and is pushing massively towards electric mobility. Standards and regulations for a New Energy Vehicles change rapidly. •Within this fast growing and developing business of Daimler in China, the eDrive department is continuously developing. While series production for PHEVs and BEVs will soon be running under full steam, new electric products need to be implemented. •For our High-Voltage team this means more and more components need local development, but also validation on component, system and vehicle level. •One very important part there is the overall integration and validation of all parts within the eDrive. •This means you will: Lead the eDrive integration and testing activities in China, which means, you will deal with the following tasks.
Task description •Get familiar with all eDrive high-voltage components, system and software •Define test requirement for eDrive test facilities within the Tech Center China TCC •Find external test facilities for the time until TCC is in place •Be responsible for creation of delta specification for eDrive testing according to China specific standards and requirements •Be in close contact with the eDrive test departments in head quarter •Carry out delta-validation and testing of eDrives in China for electric vehicles in internal and/or external test facilities •Make sure the eDrive system in total works before first integration into the vehicle •Create test reports and report into Commodity group eDrive and eDrive projects in Germany
Qualification •Education -University degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering •Experience -Working Experience in RD Daimler – Good network in MBC/RD related departments •Specific knowledge -Fluent written/spoken English, fluent written / spoken German, fluent knowledge in Chinese helpful -Deep knowledge on electric system design, testing, validation of electrical components and vehicle integration -Computer skills, calibration, simulation, CAD review, office applications -Software skills in MATlab Simulink, Vector, CANape, CANoe and vTestStudio beneficial -Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural background -Project management skills to manage cross functional teams and suppliers -Intercultural experience -Driver license
